Due to the contract dispute between UnitedHealthcare and Ascension Wisconsin, we understand many of our patients have questions and concerns. We want to be transparent and provide clarity regarding your care.
We are still in-network with UnitedHealthcare, and that contract remains in effect until October 1, 2025. Please note that even if you receive a letter from UnitedHealthcare stating otherwise, you are still covered for your appointments with us.
If you have an upcoming clinic appointment on or after October 1st, you have 2 options:
(1) Keep your appointment as scheduled. If we become out of network, we can submit the visit to UHC as an out-of-network claim. If you do not have out-of-network benefits, we can treat your visit as self-pay and you will receive a 47% discount on any services you receive from us.
(2) Cancel or Reschedule your appointment to a later date.
Due to the extensive prep required for hospital based elective procedures, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule or cancel those appointments for October 1st. We will make a decision about October 2nd & 3rd procedures soon.
You may also contact UHC about continuity of care protections guaranteed by the Affordable Care Act. While MMA may assist with any required paperwork, we cannot initiate a continuity of care request on your behalf.

We appreciate your patience and will keep you informed of any changes.
