A Wisconsin native, Dr. Gharia established the Mohs Program at Madison Medical Affiliates in 2007 after practicing Mohs in solo practice since 2004. Dr. Gharia was raised in Racine and attended the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He received his medical degree and completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Gharia completed a fellowship in Mohs surgery at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Prior to moving back to Milwaukee, he was named Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was also formerly Director of Dermatologic Surgery Education. He was formerly the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, is past President of the Wisconsin Dermatological Society, served as the Dermatology Delegate to the Wisconsin Medical Society and is current Wisconsin Dermatological Society Advisory Board Representative to the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Gharia is Board Certified in Dermatology and fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
